  How to Mix Breast Milk with Enfacare Infant Formula

 

    Select Recipe: Use a measuring teaspoon, not the scoop in the can.

  

   

 

   How to mix breast milk with formula:

  1. Wash hands with soap and warm water

  2. Wash the top of the can of formula and check the expiration date.

  3. Use clean measuring utensils and containers.

  4. Pour breast milk into bottle.

  5. Use a measuring spoon to add formula powder. Please buy measuring spoons if you do not have them. The scoop that comes in the can is not a teaspoon.

  6. Shake the bottle to mix.

  7. You do not have to warm the breast milk before feeding. If warming desired place under running warm water or in a bowl of warm water. It should feel warm, not hot. Do not microwave.

 

  Storage

  • If you mix a larger amount than what will be used for one feeding, store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.  

  • Do not freeze formula or breast milk mixed with formula powder.

  • Throw away any breast milk or formula left in the bottle after the feeding.

  • Use formula by the expiration date on bottom of can and use open cans of powder within 1 month.

 

 Good to Know

  • If your baby is still hungry, offer more breast milk or formula.

  • Try bigger feedings each week as your baby grows.

  • Put only breast milk or formula in a bottle - do not put cereal, baby foods, honey, juice or other liquids in a bottle.

 

 

   How to Mix Enfacare Infant Formula with Water

     

     Select Recipe: Use the scoop in the can.

    

  

   

  How to mix powdered formula:

  1. Wash hands with soap and warm water

  2. Wash the top of the can of formula and check the expiration date.

  3. Use clean measuring utensils and containers.

  4. Use water from a safe source to mix formula. Tap water is usually safe. Well water may contain toxins or bacteria. Call your county’s health department for information on testing.

  5. Measure water and place in bottle. Add powdered formula to bottle.

  6. Shake the bottle to mix.

  7. You do not have to warm the formula before feeding. If warming desired place under running warm water or in a bowl of warm water. It should feel warm, not hot. Do not microwave.
